KOHLER LuxStone Walk-In Showers
A KOHLER LuxStone shower is built around a wall panel material that performs better in daily use than what most bathrooms currently have. LuxStone panels are made from crushed stone in high-performance resin: hard enough to resist the surface wear that gradually degrades acrylic and fiberglass, and nonporous by composition so there is nothing to seal or re-grout over the life of the installation. Panels are custom-cut to your shower's dimensions and installed with a hidden joint system that leaves no grout lines on the wall surface. The bathroom looks polished every day without asking much in return.
The walls anchor a fully coordinated system. LuxStone bases use the same stone-resin composite and are available in several sizes and entry profiles. Shower doors and enclosures range from framed to fully frameless and are chosen during the in-home consultation alongside the wall design and hardware finishes. Built-in recessed shelving, a fold-down seat, and a shower barre are available as integrated accessories. KOHLER fixtures are selected as part of the same consultation.
LuxStone Design Options
Ten wall designs are available across stone-look patterns, solid colors, and textured finishes. Most come in matte or glossy.
- Calacatta Gold: Warm white with gold veining, inspired by Italian marble. A recent addition to the lineup.
- Statuary: White with soft grey veining. Cooler and more restrained than Calacatta Gold. Also recently added.
- Calacatta Crema: Ivory base with subtle warm movement throughout.
- Cintilante Bluette: White ground with soft blue-grey movement. The most distinctive design in the collection.
- Ice Grey: Flat cool grey with no pattern. A strong choice for contemporary or minimalist spaces.
- White: Clean, flat white with no pattern. Works in any bathroom style.
- Biscuit: Warm off-white that coordinates well with bronze or brushed nickel hardware.
- VeinCut Dune: Warm beige with a horizontal linear texture suggesting cut stone.
- CrossCut Dune: Same warm beige palette as VeinCut with a more varied, multidirectional pattern.
- White Brick: Subway-style grid in flat white, without the upkeep actual tile requires.
Matte finishes keep water spots less visible between cleanings. Glossy finishes add reflectivity and visual depth, which works particularly well in smaller bathrooms or with stone-look patterns. Hardware finish, whether chrome, brushed nickel, matte black, or warm bronze, is selected during the design consultation alongside everything else.
KOHLER Walk-In Bath
The KOHLER walk-in bath rethinks the bathtub around comfort and ease of use. The side door opens to a low-threshold entry that removes the physical demands of stepping over a conventional tub wall. Once seated and the door is closed, the bath fills around you. Heated seating, hydrotherapy jets, and a slip-resistant floor are standard features in every unit.
Maryland has a significant and growing population of older homeowners, particularly in the Baltimore metro and across the DC suburbs in Montgomery and Prince George's counties, who are investing in homes that work well for the long term rather than planning to move.
The walk-in bath fits that picture directly: it goes in where your existing tub is, requires no layout changes, and gives the bathroom a level of comfort and accessibility that holds up across a wide range of physical conditions and life stages.
Tub-to-Shower Conversion
A tub-to-KOHLER-shower conversion replaces a bathtub you're not using with a walk-in shower that earns its space. The existing footprint and drain location stay in place, and the finished installation is a complete LuxStone system: wall panels in your chosen design and finish, a coordinated base, glass enclosure, and fixtures. Most conversions are finished in one to two days.
Standard Bathtub and Shower Replacements
Not every project calls for a new configuration. When the goal is a better bathtub or shower in the same spot, Renuity fabricates a new KOHLER unit to your bathroom's exact dimensions and installs it without disturbing the surrounding plumbing or walls. The result is a fresh KOHLER surface with a warranty on materials and labor, and most bathtub replacements are done in a single day.
