Northern Knox County has newer suburbs from past two decade built with builder-grade fixtures and windows, in addition to older homes in need of a refresh too. Renuity serves Powell homeowners with bathroom upgrades, replacement windows, and cabinet refacing to meet your needs. Installed by licensed professionals with efficient, friendly service.
Renuity installs bathroom remodeling solutions for Powell homeowners, including tub replacements, walk-in tubs, walk-in showers, and tub-to-shower conversions, along with replacement windows and kitchen cabinet refacing. Licensed professionals handle each project from the initial consultation through final walkthrough, with most bathroom installations completed in a single day.
Powell's housing stock splits between older rural properties that have stood for 40 or more years and newer subdivisions that filled in as Knoxville's growth pushed north along the 25W corridor. East Tennessee's humidity and winter freeze-thaw cycling affect both equally. Bathroom finishes, window seals, and kitchen materials in homes from either era absorb those conditions over time, and what was installed when the home was built is rarely still the right fit decades later.
Renuity's local professionals work with Powell homeowners across both housing profiles, handling bathrooms, windows, and kitchens through a single company with the products, warranties, and installation standards to back the work long-term.
Every Renuity bathroom project is completed within the existing tub or shower space, with no structural work and no extended disruption to the household. Nonporous acrylic and composite wall panels replace tile and grout with a surface that carries no grout lines, provides no pathway for moisture to reach the wall behind it, and requires no resealing or ongoing maintenance. Most installations in Powell are finished the same day the crew arrives.
In Powell's older rural homes, bathroom tile from the 1960s and 1970s has been absorbing Tennessee Valley humidity through decades of Knox County summers and winters. Grout from that era cracks under the sustained exposure, and once it does, water works its way into the wall assembly before any surface-level symptom makes the depth of the problem apparent. In the newer subdivision homes, builder-grade tile installed in the 1990s and 2000s is now old enough to show the same pattern on a shorter timeline. A grout-free wall system addresses the underlying issue in either home.
Walk-in tubs and walk-in showers are available for Powell homeowners who want improved safety or accessibility in the bathroom. Walk-in tubs include a side-entry door, built-in seat, grab bars, a non-slip floor surface, and optional hydrotherapy features. Walk-in showers offer low or step-free entry thresholds with the same sealed wall panels, and make a practical conversion for any tub that has outlived its daily use.

Renuity's replacement windows are multi-pane vinyl units with precision-welded frames, insulated chambers, and low-E glass. The insulated chambers limit heat transfer in both directions, which matters across East Tennessee's full seasonal range. Vinyl does not conduct cold through the frame edge the way aluminum does, holds its shape through freeze-thaw cycling without developing joint gaps, and requires no maintenance between seasons. Each ENERGY STAR-rated unit is built to the existing rough opening dimensions with no structural changes required.
Powell's two-era housing stock creates two different window situations. Older rural homes in northern Knox County may still be running on original or early-replacement frames that were never designed to meet current insulation standards and have been through enough Tennessee Valley winters to show wear at the seals. Newer subdivision homes along the Highway 25W corridor sometimes came with builder-specification windows that met code at installation without being selected for long-term energy performance. The insulated vinyl unit that addresses one situation addresses the other equally well.

Cabinet refacing replaces the doors, drawer fronts, and hardware on your existing cabinet boxes and applies a veneer to the visible box faces to match. Countertops, appliances, and plumbing remain in place throughout the project. Every surface in the kitchen you see and use at eye level is replaced in a single visit, and the result reads as a complete renovation without removing cabinet boxes that are still structurally intact.
In Powell's older rural homes, kitchen cabinet boxes tend to be well-built and still sound, but with door styles and hardware that reflect a specific era without having aged gracefully through it. Refacing replaces those surfaces with a current profile and finish while leaving the structure in place. In the area's newer subdivision homes, the issue is more often builder-grade doors that were installed to a budget and have never suited the space particularly well. Either way, refacing changes the components that are making the kitchen feel dated and skips the expense of replacing what does not need to go.
